WEB-BASED TRAINING
Another form of computer-based training,
web-based training (WBT) is most often used to economically and consistently deliver
employee education programs using a company's intranet as the delivery mechanism. Over
fast connections (such as a T1 line), full multimedia effects can be used. Have only slow
modem connections on your intranet? GanTek Multimedia is experienced in designing
effective training applications using Macromedia's Web Player technology to be run over
just 14,400 modem speeds. Below are four samples of WBT applications we have worked on:
We assisted in the design and development of an accounting training program for a
financial services/technology firm. The software runs over the client's national intranet
effectively on just 14.4 modem connections. The program includes student tracking,
scoring, and links to web pages.
GanTek Multimedia was called upon to assist a training company with the
development of
a human resources
WBT program for a national healthcare provider. The learning approach utilizes both
reference materials and extensive real-world scenarios. The program includes scoring and
certification. We designed the program for the client's 128Kbs+ intranet.
GanTek Multimedia designed and
developed an 8-hour web-based training course for life insurance agents. The program is
accessed over a secure servia via the client's intranet. Tracking features include
transmitting XML-formatted student tracking and performance statistics to the training
server.
GanTek Multimedia is developing
multiple web-delivered software training modules for a national auto auction company.
Projects included student grading and tracking, web site links, email, formatted printing,
UNIX-type interface simulations, etc.
